Evagynal
The mono treatment for bacterial vaginosis. Recurrent bacterial vaginosis is a difficult problem to treat. Due to a high degree of resistance and biofilm formation, antibiotic treatment is often ineffective. Evagynal a broad spectrum antispetic is effective in the treatment of bacterial vaginosis.

For more than 30 years, Metronidazole has been the standard treatment for bacterial vaginosis. During these years, many new insights into the nature, extent and risks in the field of bacterial vaginosis, have been gained.
Bacterial vaginosis often no longer consists of just Gardnerella Vaginalis as it did 30 years ago. Other anaerobic bacteria such as Prevotella, Mobilincus and Atopobium Vaginae also complicate treatment due to resistance development. New is that in the clinical picture an Areobe Vaginitis (Streptococcus , Staphylococcus Areus, E.coli) or a fungal infection also play a role.
To make the problem even more complex, it has recently been shown that Gardnerella Vaginalis and Atopobium Vaginae, in particular, create a thick bio-film on the vaginal epithelium where these bacteria settle. Antibiotics virtually do not penetrate this bio-film causing it to continually repair itself and cause recurrent infections. Moreover, due to antibiotic use, resistant forms develop in this bio-film.
Evagynal is not an antibiotic but a broad-spectrum antiseptic that, due to its unique composition, has an excellent effect on virtually all pathogens involved in gynecological infections. In addition, Evagynal has a pronounced effect on bio-film formation.
In a comparative randomized study of 110 patients, 86.7% of patients were found to be still free of bacterial vaginosis 3 weeks after monodose treatment with Evagynal. Evagynal was found to have a small number of side effects, which were exclusively local in nature. In another comparative randomized study of 347 patients, the one-time treatment with Evagynal was found to be as effective and safe as a 7-day treatment with Clindamycin vaginal cream.
Its broad spectrum activity, excellent tolerance, one-time application and extremely low chance of resistance development make Evagynal a first choice treatment for bacterial vaginosis compared to Metronidazole.
